Tariq Al Tayer

BIOGRAPHY

Tariq Al Tayer is the Director of Foreign Direct Investment at Invest UAE, under the Ministry of Investment of the United Arab Emirates. In his role, he leads efforts to attract and facilitate international investment, fostering partnerships that support the UAE’s vision for sustainable economic growth and global competitiveness.

Before joining the Ministry, Tariq spent over six years at DP World, where he advanced through several leadership positions in business and trade development, most recently serving as Director of Market Access.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Economics and Management from Università Bocconi in Milan and a Diploma in Business and Supply Chain Management from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Tariq also holds professional certifications in Product Ownership (SPOC) and Terminal Operations.
